Space is an increasingly contested environment. The DoD has decided that it must be better prepared to use space-based resources for global communications in a time of conflict. The US is at the forefront of current efforts to secure its advantage in space by building resiliency and redundancy into satellites and reducing dependency on GPS. So, what will the U.S. presence in space look like in twenty years?
