Navy hires SAIC for overseas network support
Science Applications International Corp. will help maintain a Navy information network that supports operations in Europe and the Middle East under a new contract.
Science Applications International Corp. will help maintain a Navy information network that supports operations in Europe and the Middle East under a three-year contract worth up to $27 million.
Under the contract, SAIC will provide operation and maintenance support services for the Navy Enterprise Network (One-Net), which the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station-Atlantic oversees, company officials said.
One-Net offers users the ability to communicate on a single, integrated communications network with a full-range of information security features.
The agreement also covers support for various command and control, coalition and legacy networks. Company employees will perform the work primarily in Naples, Italy, and Manama, Bahrain.
