Army Central Command to receive assistance

Science Applications International Corp. will provide information technology support and services to the Army under a five-year task order that could be worth as much as $226 million.

The award calls for SAIC to assist the Central Command’s Directorate of Command and Control, Communications and Computers, primarily at command headquarters in Tampa, Fla.

Under the task order, SAIC will provide command, control, communications, and computer information support for the entire U.S. Central Command organization. Services will include planning, program management, integration, operation and maintenance of headquarters and joint theater-level communications and computer networks.

The task order was competitively awarded under the General Services Administration’s Millennia Governmentwide Acquisition Contract through the GSA Federal Systems Integration and Management Center. It has a one-year base period and four one-year options.
