Air Force issues software pre-solicitation
The Air Force is seeking software to be used by the Global Cyberspace Integration Center to help test command and control, and cyber systems.
Air Force officials want to develop software to be used to help develop cyber programs, according to a pre-solicitation published on FedBizOpps.com.
The contract is for the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Rome Research Site, which assists with missions for the Air Force Global Cyberspace Integration Center. The center manages the development and experimentation for selected Air Force cyber programs.
The software will be used to assess cyber and command and control systems, according to the solicitation published Feb. 2.
Work under the contract will include technical analysis, system feasibility studies, system design, systems engineering efforts, experimental designs and experimental hardware/software demonstrations,and the work will also focus on net-centric communications, data development, rapid prototyping and software development and capability testing, the document said.
The Global Cyberspace Integration Center does analysis to identify and integrate requirements for Air Force personnel, performs science and technology planning, and sponsors pilot prototype initiatives. It also plans and manages technology transition.
The contract is only open to small businesses with 500 or fewer employees, according to the announcement.
