The Defense Information Systems agency has tapped Verizon Business Network Services Inc. for a 10-year contract valued at $2.5 billion.
Under the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, the Verizon business unit will provide end-to-end transmission services and other capabilities to the Defense Information System Network-Pacific, the Defense Department said March 9.
DISN-Pacific is DOD's consolidated enterprise-level telecommunications infrastructure for the expanded Pacific region.
