The Marine Corps Systems Command has awarded Ocean Systems Engineering Corp. a task order to provide autonomic logistics support services.

The Marine Corps Systems Command has awarded Ocean Systems Engineering Corp. (OSEC) a $5.5 million task order to provide autonomic logistics support services.

Under the task order, OSEC will furnish program, financial, technical and administrative services in support of the command’s program manager for autonomic logistics, the Defense Department said March 6.

Autonomic logistics is a methodology designed to provide optimum support for equipment and systems by integrating diagnostics, maintenance, supply chain management, training and technical data.

Specific tasks covered by the task order include developing an integrated logistics support plan, furnishing briefings and presentations, conducting analyses, reviewing and commenting on contract deliverables, and developing test plans and budget estimates.

OSEC is a unit of Apogen Technologies, a provider of defense and civilian technology services to the federal government.
