Navy awards Far East network support deal
The Navy has awarded a contract to Computer Sciences Corp. to support a portion of its information technology network located outside the continental United States.
The Navy has awarded a one-year, $28 million contract to Computer Sciences Corp. to support a portion of its information technology network located outside the continental United States.
Under the contract, CSC will help operate, maintain and manage the Overseas Navy Enterprise Network (One-Net) in the Far East. Work on that portion of the network will be performed primarily in Japan and to a lesser extent in Korea, Singapore and Guam.
One-Net is a secure IT network that serves U.S. fleet bases and naval stations worldwide.
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity.
