Award calls for support of DISA information-sharing program

General Dynamics Information Technology will provide a range of engineering and information technology support to the Defense Information Systems Agency under a five-year, $56 million contract.

The award calls for the business unit of General Dynamics Corp. to provide service design, transition and operations support to the DISA’s Multi-National Information Sharing Delivery, Transition and Operation (MNIS DTO) program.

Under the contract, General Dynamics will provide engineering services, technical support, requirements analysis and assessments to the global Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange (CENTRIX) coalition network.

DISA’s MNIS DTO/CENTRIX Cross Enclave Requirement program will create a consolidated Defense Department approach for developing coalition information sharing to ensure multinational command and control interoperability, company officials said.

The program will create a single, secure multinational solution that will enable multiple communities of interest to seamlessly share information and reduce the number of coalition networks.

General Dynamics will test and integrate commercial and government off-the-shelf hardware and support other necessary requirements for the program.

General Dynamics was awarded the contract as a subcontractor to Raytheon Co., Waltham, Mass., under the ENCORE II contract.
