DOD acquisition arm gets staffing assistance
CACI International will continue supporting DOD’s Acquisition Technology and Logistics component under a $31 million contract.
CACI International Inc. will continue supporting the Defense Department’s Acquisition, Technology and Logistics component under a $31 million prime contract.
The component, a unit within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, provides staff assistance and advice to the secretary and deputy secretary of Defense on the DOD acquisition system.
The support includes research and development, advanced technology, developmental test and evaluation, production, logistics, military construction, procurement, and nuclear, chemical, and biological matters.
CACI has worked with the component for 21 years providing business application support services, as well as management and technical support for information technology architecture and design, as well as full life cycle business application support, company officials said.
The contract also calls for assistance in program and portfolio management, requirements analysis, system and software development, Web and portal services, database design and administration, and configuration management, as well as quality assurance, software testing, system infrastructure administration, and system certification and accreditation.
The five-year contract stems from the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization ENCORE II contract vehicle.
