DISA scouts for technology professionals
DISA is looking for new employees, including some with IT expertise.
The Defense Information Systems Agency has announced that it is seeking new employees to join the agency, including information technology workers, as it prepares to move to Fort Meade, Md.
DISA and its mission partner, the Joint Task Force-Global Network Operations, will host a career expo June 13 to fill about 100 positions. Additional jobs will be posted on the federal government’s employment Web site, USAJobs.gov.
The majority of DISA's vacancies are in the information technology and engineering fields. Employees with expertise in telecommunications, finance, contracting, program management and human resources are also needed, agency officials said.
The expo will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Johns Hopkins University’s Kossiakoff Center in Laurel, Md. People who are interested in applying can learn about DISA’s mission, the government’s security clearance process and how to write effective federal résumés.
DISA is scheduled to start moving from Arlington, Va., to Fort Meade in October 2010 and finish by July 2011.
