CDW-G gets Marine Corps laptop order
CDW-G will furnish 10,404 general laptop computers to the Marine Corps under a new $9.8 million order.

Under the order, CDW-G will provide the general purpose laptops as part of technology refresh initiatives for operational forces, the Defense Department announced Aug. 28. The agreement includes logistics support and a five-year warranty.
Eight companies qualified to provide this type of technology product competed for the order, the announcement said.
In related news, DOD is moving toward better automated compliance and security for its laptops, desktops and servers.
The Marine Corps Systems Command, based in Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.
