VOIP solutions aimed at aiding military's battlefield strategy
Using VoiceWise Server Series Universal Access Devices, the new products enable secure communications with both wired and wireless networks.
Data communications are an important part of the military’s battlefield strategy. With that in mind, Edge Access has introduced two new products for voice over IP (VOIP) and data communications.
Introduced at the LandWarNet 2009 conference, the scalable Edge Access Office-In-A-Box is available in 48-, 72- and 96-port units with multifunction capability to include print and file services. Using VoiceWise Server Series Universal Access Devices, it enables secure communications with both wired and wireless networks.
Edge Access also introduced its Remote Data Module, a 24-port power over ethernet (POE) data extension to the VoiceWise Server Series. RDM extends the base system’s reach in large building or campus environments utilizing gigabit ethernet or fiber technology for connectivity. The architecture allows a central point of management and control for an entire building or campus.
The VoiceWise Office-In-A-Box series integrate with legacy systems with up to 96 legacy telephony ports and 96 POE ports in a single chassis. All legacy telephony ports can be configured as either foreign exchange office or foreign exchange subscriber interface, and are software configurable via a graphical user interface.
