SRA employees donate to Haiti relief

SRA International and its employees have raised more than $132,000 for Haiti relief efforts, the company reports.

“As a member of the global community, SRAers believe it is our duty to help the people of Haiti in any way we can,” SRA President and CEO Stan Sloane said in a written statement. “We are passionate about the significant work we do every day. It’s that same passion that drives our need to be active not just in our local communities, but in the global community, as well.”

The donations came through SRA's volunteer and philanthropic program SRA CARES, with the company matching employees' donations to non-profit organizations delivering relief to Haiti. SRA also made a matching donation to Project HOPE, a relief organization that has been on the ground providing support since the massive earthquake struck Haiti on Jan. 12.

In a ceremony held March 31, SRA presented Project HOPE President and CEO John Howe with the check. “This is fantastic," Howe said. "This is just a remarkable experience for all of us at Project HOPE to have SRA’s outstanding support during the 2005 tsunami repeated today with this contribution to our relief efforts in Haiti. We have been there from the beginning and we are there for the duration, and this will certainly help.”
