NASCIO gave O’Malley, its 2010 National Technology Champion Award the group gives out to “pioneers who promote excellence in both technology and good government.”
The group credited O’Malley, a former mayor of Baltimore, for his data-driven approach that’s been used in Maryland IT programs such as StateStat and BayStat.
