Denise Pease named GSA regional administrator

She will oversee the agency's work in its Northeast and Caribbean Region.

Denise Pease is set to become the regional administrator for the General Services Administration’s Northeast and Caribbean Region, starting Sept. 13, the agency has announced.

As the Region 2 administrator, Pease will oversee GSA’s work in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. She will be responsible for the acquisition and management of federal IT systems, vehicles, supplies, and equipment, and nearly 450 federal buildings.

Most recently, Pease was assistant comptroller of commercial banking for New York Comptroller William Thompson. She was the liaison between New York City’s banking and financial community and the city's leadership. Before that, Pease was deputy superintendent of banks for New York State, one of the country’s senior financial regulatory positions, GSA said.

“Denise is recognized as a dedicated and insightful leader, and as a thoughtful and thorough policy strategist,” GSA Administrator Martha Johnson said.
