GPO names acting management chief

Herb Jackson has been named acting chief management officer at the Government Printing Office. He replaces Janet Sansone, who is retiring.
Jackson will oversee issues related to information technology systems, contracting and employee relations, while continuing in his current role as GPO’s chief acquisition officer. Over the years, he has been a member of contracting and acquisition teams for many GPO initiatives, including the overhaul of the agency's financial and IT systems.
Jackson began his GPO career as a clerk typist in 1980 and moved to the agency’s acquisition and contracting office in 1984 before being named CAO in 2008.
