Brown-Dixon goes from GSA to SBA

Patricia Brown-Dixon is leaving the General Services Administration to be a regional administrator for the Small Business Administration.

In her new job, Brown-Dixon will oversee SBA operations throughout its district offices in Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska and Kansas, SBA announced Jan. 12.

Brown-Dixon currently works as GSA’s director of small business utilization and is based in the agency’s Heartland Region, which encompasses the same four states.

She has worked in all sorts of jobs throughout GSA for more than 25 years, beginning as an inventory management trainee in the Federal Supply Service.

SBA is glad to get her, if SBA Administrator Karen Mills's words in a statement are any indication: “She will be able to draw on her strong ties to the region and a wealth of experience providing tools and resources to small businesses so they can grow and create jobs," Mills wrote.
