FOSE Institute launched
New organization will focus on fresh approach to conferences and other events touching on government technology policy and implementation.
1105 Events, a division of 1105 Media, has launched the FOSE Institute to expand the educational value of its government technology conferences. 1105 Media is the owner of 1105 Government Information Group, publisher of Defense Systems, Federal Computer Week, Government Computer News and Washington Technology.
“Part of what will distinguish FOSE Institute events is a new outreach effort to identify fresh ideas from experts within government, industry and academia to address government technology policy and implementation challenges,” said the institute’s executive director, Wyatt Kash. Kash is former editor-in-chief of Government Computer News and Defense Systems and has been a close observer of the government technology sector since 2004. He also is content director at 1105 Events and editor-at-large at 1105 Government Information Group.
The institute’s early influence will be felt at the FOSE trade show, scheduled for July 19-21 in Washington, D.C. It will offer several new national conference education programs that directly address the needs of government agencies and industry. The institute is also launching a new conference later this year on geospatial information tools that can help nontechnical managers in government and industry improve the decision-making processes at their organizations.
