At this time, successes with smart phone technology are more evident in training environments rather than the operational environments, Lt. Gen. Michael Vane, director of the Army Capabilities Integration Center, said in a DOD Live Bloggers Roundtable Feb. 24.

The Army also is working to resolve various cultural and security challenges before making a final determination on the matter.
