DARPA probes director's connection with contractor

Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency director Regina Dugan has ties to a private company receiving a $400,000 agency contract, reports the Federal Times.
The DARPA chief founded RedXDefense, a Maryland-based company that deals with security-related products, with her father in 2005.
According to a DARPA spokesman, the company was hired in January 2010 by the agency to develop technologies that detect chemical improvised explosive devices or IEDs. It is not clear if Dugan still has a financial stake in the company but DARPA says its general counsel reviewed the incident and found “no wrongdoing,” states the article.
