Army gets helping hand with cloud architecture
Quality Business Engineering will provide cloud computing architecture and engineering services to the service during an 18-month award.
Quality Business Engineering, a federal government and defense community management and technology consulting company, has won a $4 million task order to support the Army’s expanding cloud computing initiatives, the company announced today.
During the 18-month task order, QBE will provide cloud computing architecture and engineering services as well as a proof-of-concept laboratory to the Army’s Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Enterprise Systems and Services (ALTESS) and Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems organizations.
“This prime task order will lay the foundation for expanding those services and provide a proving ground for cloud computing within the Defense Department,” QBE President and CEO Shawn Landry said in the May 1 announcement.
QBE, of Haymarket, Va., has provided IT solutions to ALTESS for the past three years, including providing business and technology consulting services, helping to configure the consolidated physical and virtual infrastructure and developing a new service catalog.
