Navy selects contractor for tactical data link work
The Navy has awarded a new contract for tactical data link radios to support U.S. and coalition forces.
The Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command has awarded an $18.5 million contract to Data Link Solutions to furnish Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) Low Volume Terminals (LVT) to U.S. and Coalition forces, Rockwell Collins said Aug. 31.
The award covers MIDS-LVT tactical data links radios supporting U.S. platforms such as the F-16, MH-60R, MH-60S, F/A-18, and foreign military sales, company officials said.
Data Link Solutions is a joint venture between Rockwell Collins and BAE Systems.
