The Defense Information System Agency has issued a request for proposls seeking mobile device management (MDM) capabilities and a dedicated mobile application store (MAS), according to a procurement notice.
The solicitation, which was published Oct. 22 on the Federal Businesss Opportunities website, is for full and open competition for a firm, fixed-price contract. The contract term envisioned is one year with four 6-month option periods.
The RFP marks the beginning of the acquisition of a secure, mobile wireless system capable of managing the use of smart phones, mobile devices and related software applications to be used by Defense Department military and civilian personnel.
DISA is seeking responses from both large and small businesses. Responses are due Nov. 27.
