Navy wants help with extendable mobile ad-hoc network testbed

The Naval Research Laboratory wants assitance from the contracting community with various aspects of its existing extendable mobile ad-hoc network emulator (EMANE) testbed.

In a sources sought notice, the NRL requests information on research and development, system maintenance and software developmen for the EMANE testbed.

Specifically, the Navy seeks information on industry's ability to furnish all resources required to perform hardware and software maintenance on the EMANE sytem, handle user requests for innovation and new capabilities to the EMANE software code, and provide R&D for tools that aid users in automating note tasking while using the system.

Other specific tasks for which the laboratory requires input are the ability of industry to furnish engineering support for experimentation and testing in laboratory and field environments, and for periodic training sessions for the EMANE system, which include hardware and software support, planning and logistics for the training session, manuals, and training tools as needed.

Responses are due March 15.
