SRA to assist Air Force logistics centers
The Air Force has awarded a contract to SRA International to develop IT-related capabilities for the Air Logistics Centers at Robins, Hill and Tinker Air Force bases, and also the Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group.
The Air Force has awarded a five-year, $29 million contract to SRA International to develop IT-related capabilities for the Air Logistics Centers at Robins, Hill and Tinker Air Force bases, and also the Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group, the company said March 11.
The company will furnish Automated Identification Technology and Maintenance Operation Control Visualizer capabilities that will give the logistics centers and the maintenance group real-time asset status and location information to aircraft personnel, as well as others involved in the depot maintenance mission.
SRA will develop and integrate automatic data capture technologies and capabilities to improve aircraft availability through the integration of machine-readable devices within business processes to efficiently and effectively capture, aggregate, and transfer data, the company said.
The contract support will be done for 55 facilities at four locations, the company said.
