Air Force awards $20.8M to Lockheed Martin for defense support
Lockheed Martin will work with the North American Aerospace Defense Command to protect U.S. and Canadian airspace.
The Air Force has awarded a $20.8 million contract modification to Lockheed Martin to support critical operations of the North American Aerospace Defense Command, reported Washington Technology, a Defense Systems sister publication.
Lockheed Martin will support air, missile and space defense for NORAD, which protects U.S. and Canadian airspace from missile, aircraft, and space attacks. Work is expected to be completed by December 2013.
