The Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command recently issued a sources sought notice for a mobile command, control, communications, computer and intelligence, or C4I contract to provide streamlined delivery and support to the warfighter.
The capabilities sought by SPAWAR are C4I systems integrated into and disengaged from tactical and non-tactical form factors, which typically consist of man-pack radios, transit cases, land vehicles, special operations watercraft, drones, airframes and forward deployed temporary command and operation centers.
The notice pointed out that delivery orders for the contract could require performance in potentially hostile areas such as Southwest Asia.
