Top 20 Defense contractors, 2015

This are looking up, relatively speaking, for the Defense Department’s spending plans, after President Obama on Monday signed a bipartisan two-year federal budget.

The budget and debt plan sets funding for fiscal 2016 and 2017, and although it provides about $5 billion less that DOD had requested for 2016, it increases funding over this year’s levels. It raises the caps on spending for each of the next two years by about $25 billion, providing $548 billion in defense spending for 2016 and $551 billion for 2017. The budget also provides around $59 billion for overseas contingency operations for each year.

For DOD and its contractors, that means a bit more money to go around, which presents a good opportunity to take a look at the current top 20 defense contractors, based on sister publication Washington Technology’s 2015 Top 100 list, based on fiscal 2014 revenues.
