Air Force modifies NetCents 2's small biz application services deal
The 12 companies named to the original deal in 2012 are awarded a total $88 million modification.
The Air Force has awarded a dozen small businesses at total $88 million modification to the Network Centric Solutions-2 contract for application services. The modification raises the ceiling on the NetCents 2 team’s original Application Services Small Business Companion contract awarded in June 2012.
Twenty large vendors also were awarded spots on NetCents 2 for application services in 2015.
NetCents 2 is a $24.3 billion family of contract vehicles supporting communications, information services, solutions and products. Among the solutions offered are network-centric IT, networking, telephony and security, voice, video and data communications, combat support services, command and control, and intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance.
Aside from application services, NetCents 2 addresses five other primary areas: Enterprise Information and Service Management, IT Professional Support and Engineering Services, NetCentric Products, and Network Operations and Infrastructure.
