Air Force strenghtens IT support for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center
A new Air Force IT contract will improve IT support for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center
The Air Force is strengthening its IT support services for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) with a $45 million contract award to Intrepid Solutions and Services.
The deal, which comes in the form of an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, is intended to provide a “full spectrum of technical support to NASIC to maintain, enhance and operate the current infrastructure; this encompasses user accounts, workstations, independent networks, circuits, storage and servers designed to accommodate emerging technologies, the announcement states.
This kind of support is aimed at upgrading and sustaining existing computer networks with a mind to integrating new software and hardening cyber security. Naturally, IT support includes user interface support, an effort to solve technical problems and working to engineer systems with the often-cited “open architecture” framework aimed at quickly synthesizing new technologies as they emerge. The work will be done where contracting activity is located at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio.
