On Day 1 of the country's largest land-warfare show, service leaders talked about their efforts to find more young people to serve.
Is "wokism" helping to pull U.S. Army recruiting into the “most challenging recruiting environment since the All-Volunteer Force was established in 1973," as service leaders called it earlier this year? Army Recruiting leaders say there's no evidence for it. Meanwhile, they're not ready to declare the new Future Soldier Preparatory course a success, though speakers at Day 1 of the annual Association of the U.S. Army conference in Washington, D.C., said initial signs are promising.
