DISA obtains support for information infrastructure

The Defense Information Systems Agency has awarded a contract to ActioNet Inc. to help maintain its information system infrastructure.

The Defense Information Systems Agency has awarded a $78.6 million contract to ActioNet to help maintain its information system infrastructure.

Under the contract, ActioNet will provide support personnel to build and maintain the Core Enterprise Network, or CORENet, the Defense Department said Feb. 12.

CORENet provides administrative information technology services to DISA staff and consists of an unclassified, but sensitive network, and a smaller, secret-high network. DISA’s Information Systems Center is responsible for CoreNet.

ActioNet, of Fairfax, Va., provides a wide range of IT services, including program management, process improvement, software development, infrastructure support, security and training.
